

Fagon was born in Houston, Texas to Mason and Agnes “Jo” Savoie Istre. He graduated from McNeese State University with an Associate degree in computer science. He worked for the University of Texas Health Science Center since 1994. He was an avid Saints and LSU fan. Fagon was described by many titles including husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend, Cajun and gumbo cooker. He had a hearty laughter and a gentle spirit. Fagon so deeply loved his wife and son.
Survivors include his loving wife of 10 years, Jennifer Wappel Istre of Pearland, TX; son, Mason Jude Istre of Pearland, TX; sister, Marria Istre of Lacassine; nephew, Christopher Scott Hendrix; and niece,Tabitha Michelle Hendrix. He was preceded in death by his parents Mason and Agnes “Jo” Istre and infant daughter, Margaux Elaine Istre.
Visitation will be from 5p.m. to 9p.m. with a rosary at 6p.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. His funeral will be at 10a.m. on Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Creole, Louisiana. The Reverend Herbert May will officiate. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
