Francis Norwood Moncrief

Francis Norwood Moncrief, age 75, of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022 in Sulphur, LA, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born March 31, 1947 to parents Emory and Nettie Moncrief in Tampa, Fl.

Francis attended school in Georgia, but ultimately left in the 8th grade to join the Army. He continued on to get a GED while enlisted. He married his wife Theresa and remained so until her passing in 2010.

Francis was known to be a friendly person who never met a stranger. He loved to fish and listen to music. He as loving, caring and always had a great sense of humor. He was known to be a worrier and usually only worried about everyone but himself. He loved old cars and loved a good Sunday night football game.

He is welcomed into heaven by his wife of 38 years, Theresa; his parents; and middle brother, Jefferey Moncrief.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Aaron Moncrief; daughter, Jenny O'Kelley; grandson, Matthew O'kelley and great-grandson, William O'Kelley.

Services will be held for Francis on Tuesday December 27, 2022 at 11am in New Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff, LA, 70611.
