Hobert W. Domingue, age 87, of Westlake, Louisiana passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021 surrounded by his children. Hobert was born September 28, 1933 in Lafayette, Louisiana to Gabriel and Elodie Broussard Domingue.
During Hobert's high school years, he played foot ball as running back for Marion High. He enjoyed watching football, rooting for LSU and the Saints. After graduation he served honorably for his country in the United States Army. Hobert was a member of St. John Bosco Catholic church for 20 years and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Hobert enjoyed socializing with family and friends, dancing, and gardening.
Hobert is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Becki Dartez; brothers, Don Domingue, and Lawless Domingue; sister, Nona Stutes.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kathleen Domingue; sons, Kent Domingue and wife Francis, Carl Domingue both of Lake Charles, LA, Todd Domingue and wife Norma of Moss Bluff, LA, and Kevin Campbell and wife Abby of Kansas City; daughters, Jennifer Stahl and husband, David of Moss Bluff, LA, Melissa LaRocca and husband, Deron of Sulphur, LA, Heather Guimbellot and Michael of Longville, LA; brother, David Domingue of Lake Charles, LA; grandchildren, Jefferson Oberle Jr., Garrett and Andrew Dougay, Joshua Domingue, Jared Dartez, Brandon Ingalls, Courtney Miller, Isabelle, Savannah, and Elizabeth Guimbellot; thirteen great grandchildren,
A visitation for Hobert will be held Tuesday, January 12, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hixson Funeral Home, of Lake Charles with a Rosary to be prayed at 6pm. Visitation resumes on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, at the funeral home. Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 10:00 AM, at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Magnolia Westlake Cemetery, Westlake, Louisiana.
