Howard "Bruce" Ray Young

He was born February 23, 1949 in Sweet Lake, LA to John and Lucille Young. He married Joy Chatagnier on August 23, 1968 in Lake Charles.

Surviving to cherish his memory is his love of 47 years, Joy of Iowa, three sons, Lance Young of Iowa, John Young and his wife Brianne of Moss Bluff and Jake Young of Iowa, one daughter, Traci Stakes and her husband James of Crowley, one brother Clifford Young of Lake Charles, two sisters Betty Benoit of Lake Charles and Patricia Venable of Denham Springs and seven grandchildren, Ginger, Jaykub, Tyler, Jordan, Colton, Ian and Legend.

Bruce worked as a Cement Truck Driver and then as a Heavy Equipment Operator for P.A.I. He loved to fish, watch football and westerns and most of all working on cars with his sons. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

A visitation will be Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 9am until the funeral service at 11am at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles.
