
Isabel (Izzy) Leger Craig, 98, of Lake Charles passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2013 in her home. She was born in Fenton, Louisiana; graduated from St. Charles Academy and worked at the Louisiana Department of Education before marrying her dear husband, Thomas G. (Gus) Craig.
She and Gus lived in Shreveport, LA for over fifty years. She resided in Lake Charles for the past ten years.
Her sense of style and flair made friends and family of all ages want to be a part of her life. She will be dearly missed.
She leaves to cherish her memory her niece, Melanie Leger Blakeney (Memphis, TN); nephews Clint Leger, Jr. (Iowa, La) and Carroll Leger (Leander, TX) their spouses; as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family would like to express its deep gratitude for the caring spirit shown to her by the staff at Villa Maria Retirement Center, as well as her very special caretakers who put so much love and tenderness into everything they did for her.
A memorial service will be held at Villa Maria Retirement Center on Sunday, January 13, at 2:00 p.m.
