

She was born October 2, 1931 in New Orleans, Louisiana and a resident of Lake Charles, Louisiana since 1961. She was a graduate of McNeese State University with BA and M.eD degrees. She was a teacher at Molo Middle School and Oak Park Elementary School in the Calcasieu Parish School System from which she retired after twenty-three years in education.
Mrs. Chol was an active member of Alpha Pi Chapter, Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, the Calcasieu-Cameron chapter Louisiana Retired Teachers Association and Saint Margaret Catholic Church.
Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, C. Louis Chol; two sons, Michael Louis Chol and wife, Andree of Baton Rouge, Henry Owen Chol and wife, Leslie of Lake Charles; four daughters, Betsy Ann Duplechain and husband, Russell of Kingwood, TX, Brenda Marie Dufrene and husband, Mark of Lake Charles, Lizette Louise Balius and husband, B. Jeffery of Mandeville, Nadine Elizabeth Donner and husband Christopher of Baton Rouge; sister-in-law, Anita Martinez of Fairhope, AL; 17 grandchildren, Ella Chol Digby and husband, Darren, David Chol, Peter Chol, Brian Duplechain and wife, Morgan, Jennifer Duplechain, Laura Beth Duplechain, Matthew Dufrene, Paul Dufrene, Caroline Dufrene, Kathryn Chol Thompson and husband, Charlie, Henry W. Chol, Samuel Chol, Ross Balius, Kyle Balius, Lee Balius, Emily Donner and John Donner. She was preceded in death by her father, Harry O. Martinez and mother, Yvonne B. Martinez; brother, Owen J. Martinez; father-in-law, Henry C. Chol and mother-in-law, Denise A. Chol; sister-in-law, Marie L. Steen and husband, Carl S. Steen; sister-in-law, Gloria A. McTague and husband, Arthur McTague.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2010 at St. Margaret Catholic Church. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles, 5:30-9 p.m. Friday. Rosary will be prayed Friday night at 7:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Saint Margaret Catholic School Trust Fund or Saint Louis Catholic High School Foundation.
