James T. Jones

James was born in Limestone, Maine and lived in Lake Charles. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lake Charles. He was a graduate of McNeese State University with a BA degree in Business and received his MBA from LSU. He had worked in banking and presently was with McNeese State University Small Business Development Center.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Wentz Jones of Lake Charles; daughter, Sarah Alexandra Jones of Lake Charles; brother, Lafayette Monroe (Jay) Jones IV of Denham Springs, LA; sister, Kristine Jones Norem of Couer d’Alene, Idaho; two nieces and two nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, retired Lt. Colonel Lafayette Monroe (Jerry) Jones III.

A Memorial service will be held 10am Tuesday, July 1, in Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. The Rev. Doug Ezell will be officiating. Visitation will be 5-7pm Monday, June 30 and resume Tuesday 9am until service time at the funeral home. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
