

Jewell Grace Saucier Bennett was born in Purvis, MS on November 14, 1915. She graduated from Pearl River Community College and retired from Cities Service after 23 years of service. She spent most of her adult life in the Jennings, Lake Charles area.She was preceded in death by her husband Willard E. Bennett to whom she was married to for 44 years. She was survived by one son, George Wilkinson and wife, Juanita of Moss Bluff; four granddaughters, Debbie Wilkinson Douglas and David of Clayton, N.C., Betsy Wilkinson Douglas of Houston, TX; Sally Wilkinson Patin and husband Pete of Moss Bluff; Nancy Wilkinson Villeioin and husband Lee of Winnie, TX. She had 10 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren. She had three step children, Marilyn Bennett Fontenot, Sissy Bennett Stutes and husband Russell of Lake Charles, Jimmy Bennett and wife, Fran of McAllen, TX, as well as numerous step grandchildren.Her funeral service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Rev. Josh Milliron will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 4-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. til time of service.
