John "J.C." Staples

J.C. was born in Marshall, TX and was currently residing in Lake Charles. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and was retired from CarQuest Auto Parts. He was a member of the VFW, loved to play his guitar and spend time with his family.

He is survived by his daughters, Carolyn Peters and husband, Jim of Winnie, TX, Annette Navarre and husband, Mike of Sulphur, LA; brothers, Ray Staples and Gene Staples both of Marshall, TX; sisters, Regina Nesbitt of Longview, TX; 7 grandchildren, Tara Louvier, Casey LeBrun, Micah Coco, Daniel LeBrun, Johnny LeBrun, Dana Cross, Todd Boutte and 26 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Granger Staples; parents, C.W. and Willie Mead Staples; a daughter, Yvette Harris Boutte; 5 brothers and 1 sister. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Holly Hill Nursing Home and especially Gloria Guillory, for their special care provided to him.

His funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Rev. Ronnie Estes will officiate. Burial will be in Sallier Cemetery.
