Joy Carter, age 84, of Moss Bluff passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015. She was born on March 28, 1931 to Ola B. Spears. Joy enjoyed life and loved to cook, canning, crocheting but especially loved spending time with her family and most of all loved Jesus.
Joy is survived by her daughter Judy Hoover and her brother Roger Sadler and his wife Olive, her sister in law Evelyn “Tootsie” Sadler, also many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Joy was preceded in death by her mother Ola B. Spears, her husband A. E. “Buddy” Carter, her son Charles Carter, her grandson Blane Carter, her brother Darrell “Bo” Sadler, her sister Sharon Sadler and son in law Darrell Hoover.
A Graveside Service celebrating Joy’s life will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2015, 1:00pm at Griffin Hills Cemetery in Lone Pine, Louisiana.
