Larry Bozo "Bozo" Hicks

He was born in Lake Charles and lived most of his life in the Iowa, Lake Charles area. He was a graduate of Iowa High School, Class of 1972, where he played basketball. He retired from UPS after 30 years of service. He loved the outdoors, spending time at the river, hunting, golfing, basketball and playing cards with family and friends. Bozo also was an avid Saints fan. He was a member of the Catholic faith. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend.

He is survived by his son, Beau Hicks and wife Jennifer of Moss Bluff; daughter, Jessi Hicks of Monroe; sister, Janis LeBlanc of Lake Charles; two grandchildren, Tyler Hicks and Abigail Vanicor; niece, Emily Ardoin and husband Clay, nephew, Wade LeBlanc and wife Natalie.

Pallbearers are Tommy Meyer, Steve Meyer, C.J. Scheufens, Homer Scheufens, Blaine Broussard and Will Scheufens.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. and resume Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service. His service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Father Bill Miller will officiate. Burial will be at Lacassine Cemetery.
