It saddens me to know that a dear friend of mine has passed. I am just now finding this out and I wish sincere condolences to Lawrence’s family. My prayers and thoughts are with the family at this time. 

With our heartfelt sympathy and prayers to God, that he will comfort you all and ease the loss you bear. When we say goodbye to our loved ones, on the journey to their Heavenly Home, that Goodbye is not the end, it just means, we’ll miss you, until we meet again. May you Rest In Peace, Jr. with your loved ones that are awaiting you.

I regret that I can not be with you at this time but family obligations make it impossible.  I had the privilege of teaching at Kaufman during his tenure as principal.  As a teacher I  appreciated his efforts on behalf of the students, faculty and staff.  It was apparent that he considered family very important , May the Lord bless and keep you in the days ahead. Buddy & I offer our condolences to the family. My children (Sean & Steve Corbello) were blessed to have Lawrence as their school principal during most of their years at Kaufman.  Lawrence always was so nice to me - always remembered me through the years. He & Buddy also enjoyed a friendship & love of playing cards.  When I think back on him, the first thought that comes to my mind is the twinkle that he seemed to always have in his eye & soft grin. May good memories from the past bring a smile to your hearts! Lawrence will be greatly missed.  You have been such a wonderful influence on Trish, Mickey, Ryan, Nicole, Gavin, Gracie, Hunter, and Hayden.  They all learned such great qualities from their Uncle Junior and Parane.  We all have such fond memories.  For all of these things, David and I are so grateful and thankful that God made Lawrence a part of our lives.  We know that Lawrence has gone to meet his Maker.

So  very sorry to learn of Lawrence's death.  He was such a fine person who was so willing to be of service to others in need.  He will be missed by many people. Mr Primeaux  was one of the best man I have ever known.  I worked at Kaufman many years.  He would come in our kitchen every morning,  he knew our names our husbands and kids name and asked about each one.  He was the Coach that also taught me drivers ed at Lake Charles High School. He loved and cared about everyone at Kaufman. Before he would leave out of the Cafeteria  he would go in bathroom and make sure his hair was right before he would head to office.  I will have great memories of our time at Kaufman .  Rest in peace sweet man.       Mary Segura

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dora Jean (Fontenot), daughter Mitzi, granddaughter, Corynn Aliyah; sisters, Theresa Guidry and Clara Carpenter, brother, David.


He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jan Maureen and parents, Lawrence Sr. and Mabel.
