

Iowa - Lloyd "Butch" James Zaunbrecher, 65, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 in a Lafayette Hospital.
He was born in Eunice and lived in Iowa. He was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Butch was a retired rice farmer and cattleman and a member of the Calcasieu Cattleman's Association. He loved gatherings and cooking for his family and friends. His grandchildren were his world and his greatest love.
He is survived by his son, Dusty James Zaunbrecher and wife Mandie of Iowa; daughters, Laurie Zaunbrecher Doise and husband Todd of Elton; Wendy Zaunbrecher Miles and husband Richard of Lake Charles; Lacey Zaunbrecher Guillory and husband Jacob of Bell City; the mother of his children, Donna LeJeune; brothers, Rodney Zaunbrecher and wife Elaine; Stanley Zaunbrecher; sisters, Frances Teenie Fruge; Margaret Regan and husband Larry; JoAnn Meyers; Edna Mae Leger and husband Michael; Jeanette Holtzapple; Helen Thevis; grandchildren, Cole and Cayl Doise, Brooke Miles, Caroline, Jake and Lillian Guillory. He is preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Josephine Zaunbrecher; brothers, Lawrence Zaunbrecher, Louis Zaunbrecher, Robert Zaunbrecher; sisters, Laura Bellard and Thelma Tillie Leonards.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am, Saturday, March 15, 2014 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Rev. Emanuel Tanu will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00pm until 9:00pm with a rosary at 6:00pm and resume Saturday from 8:00am until time of service at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
