Lois Marie was born on June 13, 1945, and was the second child to Gilbert and Nettie LeBoeuf of Lake Charles, Louisiana. She was a 1963 graduate of LaGrange High School, then attended McNeese State University where she met the love of her life, William C McDonald. She and Bill married and settled in Metairie, Louisiana where they raised their two boys Billy and Brandon. Early in her career Lois taught school and coached girl’s sports.
An interaction with a parent led to her second career with LM Berry Company (Bell South) where she worked in sales for the Yellow Pages until retirement. In retirement she enjoyed crafting, sewing, antiquing, slot machines, staying up to date on current events, and being a Meme.
At the time of her death, she resided at Toledo Bend in Florien, LA.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William C McDonald II, and her parents, Gilbert and Nettie LeBoeuf.
Lois is survived by her sons William C McDonald III (Tiffany Sheppard) of Jefferson, LA, and Brandon D McDonald (Samantha) of Longview, TX; two grandsons, Collin McDonald (Emily), and Christian McDonald; three granddaughters, Raylee McDonald, Annaliece McDonald, and Sydney Hebert; three great-grandchildren, Cooper, Koa, and Rory McDonald; siblings Sharon L.Cunningham, and husband Albin of Moss Bluff, LA and James L LeBoeuf (Cheryl) of Sulphur, LA; Nieces, Natalie L. Broussard, April Reid (Clifton), and Trina Watson; nephews, Aaron LeBouef (Reagan), Landon LeBoeuf; and great-nephews Jack and Lucas LeBoeuf.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Leesville Hospice for the care they gave Lois in the end.
The family would like to invite relatives and friends to Hixson Funeral Home, 3001 Ryan St., Lake Charles, LA on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, from 10 am until the time of service at 1 pm. A rosary will be recited at 11:30. Services will be officiated by Monsignor Harry Greig.
A graveside service will follow at Prien Memorial Cemetery.
Collin McDonald, Christian McDonald, Landon LeBoeuf, Aaron LeBoeuf, Natalie LeBoeuf, and Jim Nunn will have the honor of being Lois' pallbearers.
