

Marilyn was born in Readlyn, Iowa to the late Rev. Morris and Neva Holdiman Plotts. She graduated from LIFE Bible Institute. She was a member of Glad Tidings Church. Marilyn was a missionary in East Africa serving in Kenya, Tanzania, Sudan and Ethiopia doing women’s ministries. She was a member of the Assemblies of God World Missions and was the author of two books.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. Glenn Ford; son, Rev. Johnny Glenn Ford, Jr. and wife, Rev. Medina of Houston, TX; daughter, Rev. Rhonda Jean Allen and husband, Rev. Larry of Zimbabwe, Africa; sisters, Virginia Holt and husband, Rev. Charles of Orange, TX, Shirley Kingham, and Naomi Kingham and husband, Mark all of Lake Charles, and Anna Thompson and husband, Tommy of Hot Springs, AR; brother, Rev. Philip Plotts and wife, Penny of Lake Charles, grandchildren, Rev. Lian Allen and wife, Rev. Kristina of Phoenix, AZ, Wesley Ford and wife, Cristina, Kendall Ford and Davita Brading and husband, Michael all of Houston, TX and Courtney Allen of Lake Charles; 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles from 5pm-8pm and will resume on Saturday from 9am until service time at the church. Funeral Service will be at 10am on Saturday at Glad Tidings Church Kids Building. Reverend Steve Perry and Reverend Gary Evers will officiate. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Glad Tidings Church. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
