

She lived in Lake Charles all her life and was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church. She was a past member of the Catholic Daughters at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. A graduate of McNeese Jr. College, Mrs. Ingalls was a riveter during WWII for Chennault Air Force Base. She was a licensed Real Estate Agent and she was also a proprietor of a cafe, golf driving range, shoe store and a car wash. She was also a former employee for the Calcasieu Parish clerk of Court's office.
She is survived by her son, Percy Charles Ingalls of Lake Charles; three daughters, Karen Knipping of Florida; Jennifer "Jenny" Calkins and husband Jim of New Jersey; Joan Collins and husband Cary of Lake Charles; sister of Natalie Coulon of Lake Charles; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pierre Nelson and Natalie Reon; husband, Percy C. Ingalls; brothers, Clifford Nelson, Lastie Nelson and Lawrence Nelson; sisters, Victoria Ogea and Louise Nelson.
Funeral services will be at 1:00pm, Tuesday, November 19, at St. Theodore Catholic Church in Moss Bluff. Monsignor Dubois will officiate. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, November 18, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with a rosary at 6:30pm and resume Tuesday, 8:00am until time of service at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
