

He was a lifelong resident of Cameron, LA. He was a decorated soldier who served honorably in the Korean Conflict. Mac had been employed by Smith's Poggy Plant, Cameron Construction, Phillips Petroleum, Crane Brothers.
Mac was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Onesia Savoie; one brother, Eugene (Coco) Savoie; son-in-law, Emile (Moe) Domangue and god-child, Juanita Primeaux. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Loula Faye Vincent Savoie; daughters, Mary Domangue, Ina Jane Gaspard and husband, Ronald W. Gaspard (Bean); sons, Bobby Joe Savoie and wife, Cindy, Lindsey Savoie and wife, Mary, Adrian Savoie and wife, Karen; brother, Jerry Savoie and wife, Margaret; sister, Alma Trahan and the late, Melvin as well as 10 grandchildren, Ronald Gaspard Jr., Cherrie S. Goodwin, Cody Savoie, Jason Savoie, Michael Domangue, McKinley (Lil Mac) Savoie, Stephen Domange, Justin Savoie, Samantha Savoie, Breanna Savoie and great grandchild, Carmyn Savoie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 3 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Services will be officiated by Mr. Savoie’s godchild, Father Johnnie Savoie. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday 8 a.m. til time of service. Rosary will be prayed 7 p.m. Wednesday evening.
