Merlina Ray Menard

She was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles, LA and was a member of the Christian Faith and Glad Tidings Church. Merlina was a homemaker and loved to help anyone that was in need. She always had a smile on her face and enjoyed cooking and visiting with family while spoiling her grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Richard L. Bruno and wife Monica of Lake Charles; Timothy J. Menard and wife Cheryl of Texas City, TX; Danny Bruno and Charlene of Lake Charles and daughter Tammie Dubois of Baytown, TX; sister Emma Hornsby of Lake Charles and eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Joseph Menard, granddaughter, Stephanie Cooper, brother, Elmer Ray, sister, Kate Canter and parents, Henry and Hattie Ray.

Pallbearers will be: Jody Ainsworth, Reese Ainsworth, Tim Menard, Terry Hornsby, Bryan McManis and Bobby Cholley.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 8:30 am until time of service at 10:00 am at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles with Rev. Gary Evers officiating. Burial will follow at Prien Memorial Park Cemetery.
