Michael Lyn Jones

He is survived by his children, Eric Jones (Megan), Mary Trosclair (Tim), and Jo Beth Talbot (Michael); mother of his children, Penny Blanchard; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Ford; son, Lee Van Blanchard; and a brother, Clarence “T-Boy” Jones.

Michael enjoyed spending time with his family, BBQing, and being outdoors whether it was camping or fishing. He loved to have a good time and make people laugh.

He was a master carpenter and completed cabinet work in several amazing homes around the area. Michael had an unselfish heart and would often help people when they needed it, without charging them for the work he did.

A Memorial Service will be held at the American Legion Post #407 2510 Westwood Rd. Westlake, LA 70669 on Saturday, June 14, 2025 beginning at 12:00 PM.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the Lake Charles Care Center staff especially, Tash, Sheely, Terion, Barbara, Sidney, and Adrienana for the care and compassion that they showed to Michael.
