He was a lifetime resident of Lake Charles and was a member of Catholic faith. He was a US Marine Veteran of Vietnam and worked as a truck driver for Calcasieu Rentals.
He is survived by his wife, Stella Miller of Moss Bluff; son, Michael Jason Miller of Moss Bluff; step-son Lawrence Miller of Hayes; step-daughters, Lisa Ann Miller of Westlake and Cynthia Ann LeLeaux of Iowa; sisters, Opal Martin of Texas and Isabelle Potter of Florida; 8 grandchildren and a cousin Betty Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Meteor and Lula Langley Miller; brothers, Joe Miller and Gerald Miller.
His funeral will be 2pm, Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Rev. Rick Batchelor will officiate. Visitation will begin Wednesday 5pm-9pm and resume 10am until time of service. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
