Michelle Nicole Manuel, 37, of Lake Charles, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Willis-Knighton Health System in Bossier City, LA. She was born on May 23, 1983 in Shreveport, LA. Michelle loved to sing and karaoke. She loved dancing, crabbing, fishing, and was an animal lover.
She is survived by her fiancé, Garett Chaumont of Turkey Creek; her mother, Diane Manuel of Lake Charles; grandmother, Hysince Bonnette of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Dawn Frederick (Harlin) of Buller, Rachelle Manuel of Lake Charles; nieces and nephews, Meghann, Amber, Patience, Ason, and Kylee; numerous aunts and uncles; and great nieces and nephews.
Michelle is preceded in death by her father, Elrick Manuel; along with her grandparents, Ason Bonnette, Euna and Delridge Manuel.
A Celebration of Michelle's life will be held at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles on Monday, January 11, 2021, with Deacon Tony Pousson officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles on Sunday, January 10, 2021, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm, with a Rosary at 6:00pm. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Monday, from 8:00am until the time of the Celebration. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
Michelle went through a lot in her life and was a St. Jude's patient as an infant and fought many medical battles throughout her 37 years. She is finally at peace enjoying her hobbies and reunited with her family.
