

She was born January 8, 1932 in Pecan Island, LA to Moise and Anna (Vincent) Broussard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Murphy “Pete” J. Theriot, her parents, one daughter Donna Gaspard, one brother, Earl Vincent and one grandson, Christopher Gaspard.
Surviving to cherish her memory are three daughters, Beverly Taggard and her husband Ed of Lafayette, LA; Theresa Boudreaux and her husband Joey of Big Lake, La; and Jamie “Twinkle” Styron and her husband Karl of Creole, LA, two sons, Kyle Theriot and Carlton Theriot and his wife Karey all of Creole, LA. Also surviving are one brother, Lin Vincent, one sister Loula Faye Savoie, 17 grandchildren, Jennifer, Jody, Alisha, Schlacey, Savannah, Cody, Mikeisha, Nicholas, Angelique, Matthew, Braylon, Sierra, Hunter, Grant, Kennedy, Quinten and Connor and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Nalva was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a member of the Catholic Daughters. She was also a member of the Creole Volunteer Fire Department. Nalva loved having her morning coffee with Talley and Merlene which was her favorite pastime. She also loved to dance and play bingo.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 from 4 to 8 pm with a Rosary at 6pm at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. Visitation will resume on Thursday at 9 am until service. Funeral service will be Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 1:00pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Creole. Burial will follow the service at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery.
