Nora Mae Ryan

Nora was a native of McHenry, Ms. and resident of Lake Charles. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Joe and with their friends from Trinity Baptist Church. In her younger years, Nora bowled in a league, loved jigsaw puzzles, and creating ceramics. Nora loved spending time with her grandchildren. Also, Nora loved having pets around the house. She was co-owner of Joseph's Shoes along with her husband Joe.

She is survived by one daughter, April Joy Hottman and husband William of Katy, Tx.; one son, Anthony Wayne Ryan of Lake Charles; two grandchildren, Jessica Paige Peters and husband Greg of Gulfport, Ms. and Ryan Edward Hottman and wife Catherine of Katy, Tx.; four great grandchildren, Lexie Peters, Cade Peters, Charlotte Hottman, and April Hottman and a host of nieces and nephews in Mississippi with whom she enjoyed maintaining contact.

Nora is preceded is death by her her husband, Joseph “Joe” Ryan, Sr.; her parents, George Hover and Ruby Waldrop Hover; one son Joseph Ryan Jr.; four brothers, Earl Hover, J.M. Hover, G.B. Hover, Arthur Hover; and one sister, Doris McMurphy.
