Robert "Bobby" Allen Conner

Bobby was born in Creole, LA. He was retired after 18 years of service with Union Pacific Railroad and was an Air Force Veteran. He spent 25 years officiating for LHSAA Football, 8 years with LHSAA Softball and 6 years with Track and Field. He also officiated for recreational softball for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and great grandsons.

Left to treasure his memory is his loving wife, Charlene Risher Conner of Lake Charles; sons, Russell Conner of New Orleans and Mike Broussard of Lake Charles; daughter, Dana Pesson and husband Roy of Grand Lake; mother, Flora Conner of Grand Lake; brothers, David Conner of Westlake; Dale Conner and wife Theresa of Grand Lake; sisters, Mary Lee Aven and husband Burt of Sulphur; Annie Young and husband Joe of Grand Lake; Carol Benoit and husband Lee Allen of Grand Lake; four grandchildren and five great grandsons. He is preceded in death by his father Lee John Conner of Creole.

His funeral service will be 1:00pm, Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Rev. Andrew Martin will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00am until 9:00pm with a rosary at 6:00pm and resume Saturday from 8:00am until time of service. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Creole.
