Sarah Deal Prentice

Sarah was born in Winnebago, Nebraska, and lived in Lake Charles for many years. She was a retired bookkeeper and served as a pastor’s wife in Forest Hill, Cheneyville, Cameron, and Grand Chenier. She was a member of Olivet Baptist Church in Sulphur.

Sarah is preceded in death by her husband Henry Prentice; father, Claude Myers, and mother, Mary Myers; brother, George Myers, and sister, Kathryn Menard.

Sarah is survived by her sons, William Randall Prentice and wife Tammy of Pollock, LA, and Thomas N. Prentice and wife Dawn of Heath, TX; daughters Susan Key and husband Randall of Sulphur and Julie Prentice of Sulphur; her 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mitzi Seilhan.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Greenwood Cemetery in Jennings, Louisiana. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
