Scotty James Lantz

He was born in Lake Charles and lived in Gillis, La. He was a graduate of Sam Houston High School and Sowela Technical College. He was employed by CenterPoint Energy as a Field Supervisor. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed his two horses, Sugar and Molly. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He was a very caring person and would try to help others in need. He never met a stranger. He loved his nieces and nephews like they were his own children.

He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Lantz of Gillis; brother, Michael Lantz, Sr. and wife Sheila of Sulphur, LA; sisters Martha McLemore and husband Jim Pat of Sulphur, LA; Marilyn Tucker and husband Ricky of Merryville, LA; Jeanette Pehl and husband Don of Humble, TX; Darline Parish and husband Gary of Gillis, LA and Paulette Gilger and husband Wayne of Broussard, La.

He was preceded in death by his father Gilbert Lantz and brother in law Dale Hieronymus.

His service will be 1pm, Monday, March 26, 2012, at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles, LA. Rev. Jim Miers will officiate. Visitation will begin, Sunday from 4pm-8pm and Monday, 8am until time of service. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley.
