Terrence Kenneth Lee

Terrence Kenneth Lee ( T. K. or Terry), 75, born to Gladys Gross Lee and Kenneth Lee on October 28, 1939 in Groves, TX, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 in the comfort of his own home surrounded by loved ones.

Terry graduated from Port Neches Groves High School. He graduated from Sam Houston University with a double major in economics and business. Terry was active in Delta Sigma Tau (business fraternity) and Alfa Tau Omega (social fraternity). He was president of both organizations. Terry married the love of his life, La Lette Donald Lee in 1962 and was married for 53 years. Terry retired from the Texas National Guard. Prior to his retirement, Terry and his crew and his Captain refurbished an old ship and took it to England and back and before this trip he obtained his captains license and piloted the ship. Terry retired from Chevron Oil Company and prior to this, Terry taught math at Bridge City Jr. High for 3 years. After retirement Terry and La Lette started the first Subway in Jennings, LA and later started the Subway in Westlake, LA. He was an active member of Jennings United Methodist Church. Most of all Terry wanted to be remembered as a Christian who loved the Lord and tried to live by the Bible and its teachings.

He is survived by his wife; La Lette Lee, two daughters; Carolyn Touchet and husband Ben, Catherine Schram and husband Eric and four grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and one grandson; Brice Andrew Bailey.

Visitation will be from 12:00pm until time of Service on Friday, April 10, 2015

at Jennings United Methodist Church. A Memorial Service will be at 2:00pm Friday, at 702 Cary Ave, Jennings, LA, with Rev. Walter Parker, Jr officiating. A very special thank you to both Carolyn and her husband Ben and their daughter Randa for taking such good care of Terry during his illness.
