Viola C. King

Ms. Viola C King of Lake Charles, LA formerly of Dinwiddie, VA, is resting in the loving arms of Our Heavenly Father. She was the daughter of the late George and Clara Cook. Ms. King was employed at several businesses such as Titmus of Petersburg, VA, Champion Bag of Richmond, VA along with running her own cleaning services. Ms. King was preceded in death by her siblings, Frank Johnson, Lucille Reed, Mary Sutton, Joe Cook, George Cook Jr., Henry Cook, Anna Cook, Florence Cook, and a son George Cook. She leaves to cherish her memory; sisters, Lillian and Ethel of VA; brother, James Cook of PA; daughters, Falisity Pope(John), Barbara Harper, Mairedith Lind (Roberto) all of VA; sons, Vannie King Jr., Donald King, Glenn King (Maxine) of LA, and Robert King of VA; grandchildren, Juanterria Pope, Felicity Morris(Aaron), Faith Pope, Brittany King Gabrielle King, Veon King, Demetrius King, Angelita Lind and a great granddaughter, Aria Pope all of VA. She had a number of cherished and devoted family and friends, Evelyn Hilton, Georgia Matalada, Sharon Brown, Chris Pond, and Cushing Manufacturing. Devoted friends, The Patel’s Food Barn, The Haskins family and the Christus Hospice. The family thanks everyone for their love and support. In lieu of flowers we ask that a donation be made in Ms. King’s name to a charitable association. Funeral proceedings will be held at the Kingdom Hall at 2551 Alma Dr. Lake Charles, LA, 70605 on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 11am with burial to follow at Consolata Cemetery, 2300 Country Club Rd., Lake Charles, LA 70605. Officiating the service will be Brother McArthur Douglas.
