Mrs. Smith was a lovely, gracious lady who always had a kind word and gentle spirit. Mama (Effie) and I have reminisced over Virginia and have talked about how consistently sweet and kind she always was. To Libby, I am so sorry and pray that God will comfort you as you say goodbye to your Grandma and to Bobby, Susie and Donna, thank you for sharing her with all of us in the youth group at Boulevard Baptist Church. Those were wonderful times and your mom was part of that beautiful tapestry. I cherish her memory.

To all the family;
In recent years we were able to get to know Virginia at Brookdale and formerly Kingsley Place of Lake Charles. She came to all of our Chapel Service and was really a Joy to be around. She was very outspoken about here Faith and Expectation for the Lord to return!! She had moved here membership to University and all who came for the services on Tuesday came to appreciate her very much. She also came to our Chapel services on Sunday PM (1:00). She is definitely in a far better place with her husband surrounded with the Angels in Glory. She spoke of her father a lot coming to faith.
Our love and prayers for you all,
John Astling, Pastor of University Baptist Church and the
entire group who came from University for services.

Sincerest Sympathy to family and friends.

Virginia was a lovely and loving lady who was always kind and generous, sharing her home and garden with her fellow Diggers & Weeders Garden Club ladies on several occasions. She had such a happy and bubbly personality. Rest in Peace Sweet Lady.
