Wendell Lyn Sonnier

Wendell Lyn Sonnier, 39, a lifelong resident of Lake Charles passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2011 in a Houston Hospital. Wendell will be remembered as a loving husband, loyal friend, the life of the family, an avid outdoorsman and loved to entertain and cook for friends and family. He was also employed at PSC as a Transportation Account Manager for 20 years.

Wendell is survived by his wife Amy Sonnier, two sons Austin and Ethan Sonnier, one daughter Chasity Sonnier, his mother Barbara Sonnier, two brothers Wesley Sonnier and wife Rachel of Lake Charles, and Lane Sonnier and wife Laurie of Lake Charles, three nephews Cody and Jacob Sonnier and Koltin LeBleu , four nieces Lori, Kaycie, and Chelsie Sonnier and Korah LeBleu, inlaws David and Kathy LeBleu, and brother and sister in-law Jamis and Tasha LeBleu. He is preceded in death by father Wesley Sonnier, Sr.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday May 26, 2011 at 2PM in the Chapel of Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles with burial to follow in Westlake Memorial Gardens. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 from 3PM-8PM. A rosary will be prayed that night at 6:30PM. Visitation will continue on Thursday, May 26, 2011 from 8AM until time of service.
