Wilda Fontenot Cormier

Wilda was a native of Eunice and a resident of Lake Charles then moving to Houston, TX late in her life. She graduated from Mamou High School. Wilda was a parishioner of St. Margaret Catholic Church for most of her life.

Those left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Hayden Fontenot and wife Leslie of OK., Kenneth Fontenot of LA., and Jeffery Fontenot and wife Joan of TX.; one daughter Cassandra Ashley and husband Alan of AR.; three grandchildren, Sterling Hayden Fontenot and wife Terrie, Justin Boyd Fontenot and wife Leia, and Jessica Fontenot Johnson and husband Michael; ten great grandchildren, Macy, Charlie, Hayden, Caleb Matthew, Luke, Carter, Caleb Boyd, Sadie, Oliver, and Ethan.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Roger Lee Fontenot; and three sisters, Lois Bayless, Nolia Simon, and Anita Trouth.

Visitation services will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Friday, December 4, 2020 beginning at 5:00pm until 9:00pm with a rosary to be prayed at 6:30pm and will reopen on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 9:00am until approximately 12:40pm when the procession will leave for the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at St. Margaret Catholic Church at 1:00pm with the interment immediately following at Highland Memory Gardens.
