William Doucet

William Burt Doucet of Lake Charles, La, age 90, passed away at home Monday June 26th, 2017. In his early days he rode the Rodeo circuit and later he enjoyed watching Bull riding and roping on RFD tv. Burt was an avid bowler and a member of several bowling leagues. Bowling was his passion. He retired from Maritime Association where he was a Dock Supervisor for several years. Mr. Doucet is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years (Sugar babe) Eve Doucet of Lake Charles, LA. Parents Poleg and Ella Doucet, Sisters - Mary Bellon, Betty Waller, Brothers - Joe Doucet, Ed Doucet, Richard Doucet. Grandson - Robert Doucet. He is survived by his children Debbie Ragsdale and Mike Doucet of Portland, OR and Margie Benoit of Huntsville, TX. Seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Sister - Viola Thibodeaux Brothers - Norman Doucet and J.C. Doucet and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend services on Thursday, June 29th, 2017 at 11:00 am at Highland/Prien Memorial Park 6325 Common St., Lake Charles, LA. Service to be held at the Mausoleum.
