William C. White Jr.

Those who knew Bill will remember him for one defining quality: faithfulness.

As a computer programmer for many years at Christus Health- faithful.

As a husband, through every season of life- faithful.

As “PaPop” to his grandsons- faithful.

As a loyal friend to his buddies- faithful.

No matter the role he played, you could always count on him to be faithful.

Born on November 11, 1949, Bill was the oldest of three siblings. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife and best friend of 35 years, Cheryl White; his parents, William and Emily White; and his sister, Patricia White.

He is survived by his two bonus daughters, Julie Young and husband Tracy, and Melinda Szumanski and husband Timothy; six grandsons—Taylor Young and wife Calen, Payton Young and wife Brooke, David Young, Dylan Szumanski, Colyn Szumanski, and Ethan Szumanski; his great granddaughter, Kinsley Young; his brother, Glen White and wife Tammy; as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Bill’s circle of friends and family was wide, and his loyalty to them ran deep. He would show up for them in times of need, and in the end, when he needed them, they showed up for him.

The family will welcome friends for visitation at J. E. Hixson & Sons Funeral Home on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Prien Memorial Park Cemetery.
