Donna J McCaul

Donna J McCaul, a beloved resident of Lake Odessa, Michigan, passed away on January 25, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on June 18, 1940, in Lake Odessa, Donna's life was marked by her deep connection to the farm and her dedication to family.

From an early age, she loved the farm life, working alongside her father and brother, and later helping her husband, Ben, with everything from driving the tractor to picking rocks. Donna was married to Benjamin R McCaul, who preceded her in death on September 1, 2020. Together, they built a life filled with love and dedication to their family. Donna was the salutatorian of Lake Odessa High School class of 1958. She then attended Davenport College for secretarial studies.

Donna is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Pete) Turner and Karen Hill, son Todd (Deb) McCaul, She was a cherished grandmother to Kyle (Marcie) Root, Benjamin Williams, Morgan (Nick) Russo, Mason McCaul, Molly McCaul, Caleb Hill, John Turner, Beth Turner, and Kayte (Blake) Pinney. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Kylie Root, Elizabeth, Nolan, Brody, Joshua, Kayla Turner, Cameron, Adrian Dansalan, Tyler, and Jasmine Schultz. She is also remembered fondly by many nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Iva Jackson, and her siblings, Lester Jackson, Joan Brodbeck, Beverly Raffler, and Bonnie Dombrowski.

In her personal life, Donna found joy in baking apple and cherry pies, gardening, knitting, and crocheting professional-looking Barbie clothes. She also enjoyed making afghans and doilies for special occasions and was a passionate supporter of her children and grandchildren in their various activities.

Donna J McCaul will be remembered for her warmth, dedication, and the love she shared with her family and community.

Visitation is planned for February 7th, 2026 at Clarksville Bible Church from 11am until time of service at 12 noon. Donna will be laid to rest next to her husband Ben in Lakeside Cemetery.
