

Eva L. Lewis, age 81, of Woodland, MI passed away on July 10, 2016 after a brief battle with cancer at her home. She was born on April 7, 1935 in Vermontville to Nickola and Valeria Gorodenski. She was a graduate of Vermontville High School and worked at the Lake Odessa Canning Factory for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and especially visiting casinos and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Eva was known for never forgetting a birthday or anniversary and sending cards for all occasions. She will be dearly missed by; son Paul (Judy) Gonzales; step children Lisa (Dave) McCaul, Jon (Linda) Lewis, 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; sister Barbara Baldwin , brothers Paul and Joe Gorodenski; many nieces and nephews; brother-in-law Oscar (Denise) Gonzales, sisters-in-law Axhasah Blochwiak and Geraldine Lance; former son-in-law Don Mantlo. Eva is preceded in death by: both parents, infant son Tony Gonzales, husbands Paul Gonzales, Bernard Haas, Carl Lewis; brother Nick Gorodenski; step-daughter Michelle (Lewis) Smith. Visitation is being planned for Tuesday July 12, 2016 at Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake Odessa, MI from 5pm until 8pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 13, 2016 at 11am at Koops Funeral Chapel. Internment will take place immediately following at Lakeside Cemetery, Lake Odessa, MI.
