
Helen Weaver, aged 72, of Lake Odessa, passed away at her home early Wednesday morning, February 17, 2010. Helen was born in Kalamazoo, MI on February 15, 1938 to Samuel and Viola (Williams) Tinkey. Helen loved to watch Christmas movies, and always looked forward to going to Frankenmuth. Helen loved her grandkids and spending time with her family. One of Helen and Harold's favorite pastimes was collecting Tinkerbelle figurines. Helen is survived by Harold, her loving husband of 56 years; daughters, Theresa (Steve) Hopkins of Mulliken and Pearl (Jim) Butler of Schoolcraft; sons, Sam (Cindy) Weaver of Lake Odessa and Harold (Christie) Weaver of Wayland; 14 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Norma Pace, Shirley (John) Myers, and Evelyn (Bud) Rowe; sister-in-law, Carol Tinkey; the loving members of the extended Weaver family; and several nieces, nephews, and close friends. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Richard Tinkey and Lawrence Tinkey; brother-in-law, Roy Pace; and a niece and nephew. Visitation will be held from noon to 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 21 at the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday following the visitation.
