

Herbert "Dean" Geiger, age 82 of Clarksville, went to be with his loving Lord October 16, 2012, after 6 years of battling Non Hodgkins Lymphoma and a short stay at Carveth Village, Middleville. The joy of his life was teaching 62 years of Sunday school for the Lord, farming on the farm where he was born and having his family close. He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Vera Geiger; sister Beluah Benedict; brothers Dale and Vaughn Geiger; brother-in-law Truman Stahl; nephews David Geiger, Tim Geiger and Bryan Stahl. He will be sadly missed by his wife Katherine of 55 years; children Dennis (Beth) Geiger, Duane (Shona) Geiger, Doreen (Tim) Root and Darla (Brain) Haight, as well as his grandchildren who were the delight of his life, Krystal, Kyndra and Kaleb Root, Hannah Geiger, Konnor and Kennedy Geiger; step-grandchildren Aaron, Nick and Eric Haight; great grandchildren Kasey and Kahne Haight; brother Jim (Betty) Geiger; brother-in-law Arnith (Lavina) Stahl; sister-in-law Diane (Bill) Wieland and many loving nephews and nieces. The Lord also blessed him many loving extended church family and friends. Visitation with the family will be held from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, Friday, October 19, 2012 at Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa. Funeral Services will be held at 11am Saturday, October 20th with visitation one hour before, at Calvary Grace Brethren Church with Pastor John Waite and Pastor Lester DeGroot officiating. Interment will be at Bowne Mennonite Cemetery. In honor of Dean, contributions may be made to Carveth Village-Middleville or Gideon Bibles International.
