Jerry A Goetschy

Jerry A. Goetschy, 56, of Lake Odessa passed after a lengthy battle with Lupus.  Jerry was born in Ingham County to Albert and Doris (Mahoney) Goetschy.   Jerry worked for many years at the MSU Agriculture Department until his health forced him to retire.  He loved being outdoors hunting and fishing.  Jerry was a member of the Laingsburg Gun Club and raise 2 dogs for paws with a cause.  He loved his family dearly especially teaching them all he now about hunting fishing.

Jerry will be sadly missed by: wife Barb,  children: Alesha (Dave) Holmden, Jeramie Goetschy, Chelsie (Zach) Simon, Kim (Matt) Markwart and Tony (Janie) Schelter, mother JoAnn Schelter, 11 grandchildren, siblings:  Dennis (Kaye) Goetschy,Don Goetschy, Ronald (Sharon) Goetschy, Christine (Karl) Krebiehl, Kathleen (Mark) Zacharda, Karen (Russ) Pennington, James (Dawn) Goetschy,  Larry (Dawn) Goetschy along with many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Thomas Goetschy.

According to his wishes Jerry will be cremated and his ashes buried at Lakeside Cemetery.  Memorial are suggested to the Make a Wish Foundation or Paws for a Cause, in Jerry’s name.  Online condolences can be left at www.koopsfc.com
