Lewis C. Luna

On October 24, 2014, Lewis Campos Luna, son of Pablo and Natividad , was born on August 19, 1930 in Sabinal, Texas entered into the house of the lord as he was surrounded by his loving wife of 66 years, Margarita Polanco Luna, his children, Arnulfo, Raul, Carlos, Paul, daughter, Celia and sisters, Estella, Margarita, Candy, Mary, Janie, and daughters–in-laws, Nora and Linda Luna. In 1949, Lewis and Margarita began their lives in Michigan-for the first 23 years, Lewis and his wife and family lived in Clarksville, the next 27 years the family lived in Mulliken, in 2006, the family returned to Clarksville. In 1995, after 30 years of working as a tool-grinder, Lewis retired from General Motors. As retiree, Lewis worked around his home, remodeling, fixing his home and cars. As one moves around his home, his love for his family is evident in the home-building projects that he performed. Lewis enjoyed doing cross-word puzzles, reading the bibles and novels. Surviving Lewis is his wife Margarita P. Luna, sons Carlos, Luis (Shirley), Raul (Nora) and Paul (Linda) Luna, daughters Gracie (Jerry) Cadena, Celia (Len) Spooner, sisters Estella Luna, Margarita Luna, Mary Luna, Candi Luna and Juanita Lawhn. Preceding him in death is his parents Pablo and Natividad Luna, daughter Juanita Luna, brothers Jesus Luna, Juan Luna, Severo Luna and Joe Luna. Pallbearers will be Luis Luna, Raul Luna, Paul Luna, Carlos Luna, Brian Dean, Dauson Dean. Visitation for Lewis will be held Sunday October 26, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8PM with rosary at 7:15 at Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa. Funeral services for Mr. Luna will be held at Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa on Monday October 27, 2014 at 11AM with Father Thomas Boufford officiating.
