Mitchel Conley

Mitchel Conley, 78, of Ionia, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011 at his residence. He was born January 28, 1933, in Kentucky, the son of Joe and Lindy (Smith) Conley. Mitch liked to bowl, work on cars and being with his family, friends and 2 dogs but most of all to be with his 2 sons in his garage. Mitch worked for over 30 years at Keeler Brass in Lake Odessa and was a member of the Ionia Moose Lodge #998. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, June Conley; sons, Joe Conley, Bill Conley and Gordon Conley; granddaughter, Jenna Conley; sister, Ida May and brother, Roy Conley. Surviving are his sons, Gene (Brandy)Conley of Sheridan and David (Sherry) Conley of Ionia; sisters, Omie, Ada, Susie, Bessie; brother, Tom Conley; 18 grandchildren and many great grandchildren who will miss their grandpa, as well as many nieces and nephews. You will be missed greatly Mitch. A special thank you to Terry Clark Conley, who helped Dad and Mom through the years. Visitation with the family will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at the Koops Funeral Chapel � Lake Odessa. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the Koops Funeral Chapel � Lake Odessa. Interment Saranac Cemetery.
