Robert A. Bush

Robert Allen Bush, Sr., age 64, of Lake Odessa, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday afternoon, July 14, 2010. Bob was born in Lansing, MI on June 11, 1946 to Lawrence and Florence (Beaver) Bush. He attended Laingsburg High School and continued his education at Lansing Community College. Bob served his country in Viet Nam with the U.S. Army from 1967-1970. He had worked at General Motors in Lansing for many years. Bob was a kind and gentle man and loved laughter. He was a good provider and a good father. Bob is survived by his children, Robert, Jr. and Samantha Bush of Ithaca, and Nicole Bush of St. Louis, MI; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Donna Becher, Larry (Joyce) Bush, Jeanette Foster, and Jim (Tammy) Bush; fiancée, Sherry Howe; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Mike Bush. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Friday, July 16, 2010 at the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 17 at the Koops Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Woodland Memorial Park. The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to the Eagles, or a Veteran's group of the donor's choice.
