

Robert Lee McCaul, 87, passed away peacefully March 2, 2021. Robert was born on September 7, 1933, one of 8 children to Russell and Gertrude (Tanis) McCaul in Ionia, MI. Robert was a graduate of Lake Odessa High School.
He married his high school sweet heart June on May 31, 1953 and enjoyed 62 and ½ years together before her passing in 2015. They raised their four children Dave, Janice, Theresa and Pam on their dairy farm.
Bob loved his country and served proudly in the Army during the Korean conflict. He completed basic training but returned home to care for his wife who had contracted Polio. Upon her recovery he returned to the Army where he completed basic training again.
He was a hard worker and took great pride in his dairy farm working long hours to provide for his family. In 1993 he and June retired from farming and enjoyed many winters in Nokomis, Florida. Bob was also an avid card player. He and June enjoyed their weekly card games with his brother and wife Ben and Donna McCaul.
Bob will be missed by children David (Lisa) McCaul and Theresa McCaul, grandchildren Shelly (Joe) Severson, Leanne McMillen, Ceaira Potter, Desiree Cowling, Andrea (Eric) Andreau, Steffen and Lauren Mantlo, Brothers Carl McCaul and Lester (Jan) McCaul, sister Carol Neilsen, great-grandchildren Benjamin and Robert Severson, Kayson and Janessa Palmer, Milah Jo Boyer, and Jocelyn Andreau.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife June, daughters Pam Richards and Janice Cowling, brothers Charles and Benjamin McCaul, sisters Virginia Creighton and Mary McCaul.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the Clarksville Bible Church at 1pm with visitation from 12 noon until time of service. He will be laid to rest next to June in Clarksville Cemetery immediately following. Memorials in Bob’s name can be given to the VFW Jackson- Mutschler post 4461 in Lake Odessa. The family asks that guests please wear masks and observe social distancing while attending services.
