Stephen Stanger, age 66 of Woodland, MI, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. Steve was born on December 28, 1958 in Lansing to Frank and Elaine (Curtis) Stanger. He was an avid Euchre player, playing as often as he could. Steve was an all around athlete in Basketball, Cross County and Softball as an adult. The family will miss his smile and sense of humor, along with his epic mustache and Mullet.
Steve leaves behind; two daughters Amber Stanger and Ashley (Dan) Petrie, grandchildren Alexus (Cody) DeMann, Kyle Petrie and Tatum Petrie, great-grandchild Presley DeMann, siblings Judi Campeau, Dan (Joy) Ayres, Jeanne Ayres along with many nieces and nephews, life long friends Tim (Sue) Bishop, Randy (Jami) Schreiner.
Preceding Steve in death are: parents, brother Mike Ayres and brother in law Pat Campeau.
According to his wishes cremation has taken place and Celebration of his life is being planned for a later date.
Donations in Steve's can be given to the Ionia County Animal Shelter.
