William “Bill” Yoder passed away with his loving wife, Kelly, and family by his side on May 29, 2017. He was born to Harold and Margaret Yoder on June 9, 1950 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Bill worked at the family farm, Fairfield Farms, in Alto, Michigan. He also worked for Bareman’s Dairy for several years. Bill owned and operated Bill’s Gym in Lake Odessa. Then Kelly bought him his first fawn that he named Fawnie. From there he started to purchase more exotic animals in which “Yoder’s Live Deer and Exotic Animal Shows” began. Kelly didn’t know what she got herself into. He was known by everyone for his love and care for his animals. He was proud that one of his deer, Ricky, was in the 2012 movie Red Dawn. Bill touched so many people in his lifetime that no one was a stranger. He was known to many as “Uncle Bill” and he also had nicknames for everyone. He was a mentor for many of his friends whether it was in his gym, hunting or anyone with animals. He will be dearly missed by so many. Visitation will be Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Calvary Grace Brethren Church in Alto, Michigan. Funeral Service will be Friday, June 2, 2017 at 11:00 am also at Calvary Grace Brethren Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family for final expenses or Calvary Grace Brethren Church, Alto, Michigan. On line condolences can be made at koopsfc.com
