Angela Muraca Giardino passed away on March 9, 2012 following a lengthy illness. She was a resident of Lake Worth, Florida. She was born to Frank and Florence Muraca in Dunmore Pa. She graduated from Dunmore High School, and attended the Pennsylvania State Hospital Nursing School.
She was married to John Joseph Giardino on May 1, 1946 in Scranton, Pa. Prior to moving to Florida they resided in Warwick, NY. Her husband John preceded her in death.
As a child she was raised in a loving family. As an adult she gave her love, compassion, and support to all whose lives she touched. This was especially true of her husband John and her Children. She had a wonderful sense of humor and would entertain the family with her imitations of family members. She was a courageous woman enduring years of pain and suffering with few complaints. She will be sorely missed.
She is survived by a sister Carmella Mecca and a brother Ralph Muraca and his wife Sandra Dunn Muraca. She is also survived by her children and sons in law:, Charles and Marilyn Giardino Zych; Tom and Carolyn Giardino O’Dea; Ron and Janice Giardino Kracht; John Giardino Jr.; Lisa Hyams Giardino; and Tami Terez Giardino Bell.
The surviving grandchildren are :Margo Zych Butera and husband Nick and Christina Nova Zych; Andrea Sale Stockwell and husband Tim, Angela Sale Corbitt and husband Greg and Anthony O’Dea; Matthew Kracht and Lauren Kracht Kelly; Deanna Giardino; Tafari Stewart, Masai Stewart , Eleve Stewart; and Jacqueline Angela Hyams.
Her great grand children are: Savannah, Zachery, and Jeremy Stockwell; Sydney, Tanner and Alana Corbitt; Alex, Eoin, and Andrew Kelly; and Deanna Giardino.
The family will receive visitors at the Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens, 3041 Kirk Rd. Lake Worth (561-964-3772) on Friday, March 16th from 2 to 4 pm and from 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, March 17th at St. Mathews Church, 6090 Hypoluxo Rd, Lake Worth. Interment will follow at Lake Worth Memory Gardens.
