Born on January 2, 1939, in Naro, Sicily. He immigrated to Venezuela after the war and then to the United States, where he built a life and familia. He was a man who loved working in the yard, fishing, socializing and being with family and friends.
Dad’s greatest joy, though, was his family. He was the father to Sandra Prince, Silvana Hernandez, and Carlo Baldanza—three lives he shaped with love and pride. As a grandfather to Veronica, Vanessa, Andrew, Giulianna, and Moises, he lit up in ways that can’t be described. And when his three great-grandchildren arrived, he was excited to be a Great “Abuelito”.
He leaves behind a legacy not of grand gestures, but of everyday routines—the way he’d sit with you with a Heineken in hand, or feed the dogs table scraps, or call you “Ms. America.”
We will miss him every single day—his voice with an Italian accent , his warmth. But we carry him with us: in every ray of sunshine on our faces, in every cast of a line into the water, in every hug we give and receive.
A private family gathering will occur.
Rest Easy, Dad. We love you so much, and we’ll carry your light with us always. Protect us from above.
