She has been a resident of Soddy Daisy Health Care Center, Soddy Daisy, Tn., for two
years and was a long time resident of Lake Worth, Fl. and a retiree of the City of Lake Worth.
She was preceded in death by her husband Maurice A. Johnson in 1983 and their son, Richard M. Johnson in 1996.
Her survivors include her daughter Marlene ( Charles) Mathys of Hixson, Tn., daughter-in-law, Brenda Johnson of
Owensboro, Ky, grandchildren, Mark Mathys of Soddy Daisy, Tn., Scott (Jackie) Mathys of
Wentzville, MO., Traci (Philip) Metcalf of Madison, AL., and Matthew Johnson of Bessemer, AL.
She also leaves her great - grandchildren, Jared Mathys and Tyler Braedon, Brooke and Emily Mathys,
Taylor, Kaitlyn and Leyton Metcalf. Her family will receive friends between 11:00 AM & 1:00PM at
Dorsey - E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, Fl.,
Carmen will be laid to rest immediately following at Pinecrest Cemetery, Lake Worth.
