Claudia Lynn Kugler (Orlando) lost her long and determined battle with cancer and died December 29, 2013 in West Palm Beach, Florida. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm on January 25, 2014 at the Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Funeral Home, Lake Worth, Florida.
Claudia was born August 1, 1953 in Detroit, Mi. to Domenico and Alice Orlando. She and her family moved to Boca Raton, Fl. in 1968 where she graduated from Boca Raton High School in 1971. Her undergraduate studies where at the University of South Florida and her graduate studies at the Florida Atlantic University where she graduated with a master’s degree in public administration.
Claudia spent her career in public service retiring from the South Florida Water Management District in 2008. She grew up boating and loved the beach life of South Florida. She also loved to travel and was avid snow skier. She cherished the time she spent at her Colorado home in the Rockies with her friends and family.
Claudia is survived by her husband Zan Kugler; her brother Dario Orlando; and her 2 daughters, Evelyn and Jaynie.
Flowers are welcome at the memorial service, however in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
