Donna McNamara died on November 6, 2023 after a long battle with cancer. She was born on July 18, 1953 in Lancaster, New Hampshire, the daughter of Sarah (Garrett) and Donald Donovan. Donna graduated from White Mountains Regional High School.
When Donna was 18, her family moved to Florida. She worked at places such as fabric stores, Publix and the Beachcomber in Lake Worth, but quit to become a caretaker for family and others.
On April 1, 1984 she married the love of her life, Gene McNamara. They both love animals, especially dogs, and raised many over the 40 years they were together. They had many adventures together, including visiting the Grand Canyon, the mountains of North Carolina and San Francisco.
Donna was extremely creative and generous and loved crocheting afghans, hats, etc., for friends. She also loved cooking and creating colorful pictures. She was a warm, charitable person and went out of her way to help others.
She is preceded in death by both parents and her brother, Peter Donovan. She is survived by her husband Gene, sister Lydia, niece Heather and grand-niece Laya, her beloved chihuahua Bella and "a million" relatives on Gene's side, and many good friends.
