Eleanor Brackney

Jesus at her residence on Friday, February 18, 2011. She was the widow and devoted wife, of 58 years,

of John E. Brackney

She was the daughter of Willie B. and Velrue Cone, and the eldest of 5 children.

She is survived by her three sons, John David of Burnsville, MN., Don of Stuart, Fl., and

Brad of Lake Worth, 4 grandchildren, Nicole, Adam, kara and Shannon. Her second son, Brian, also preceded her in death in1977. Eleanor was born in Allendale County, South Carolina and raised on a working farm throughout her

childhood. She was a graduate of Allendale County High School and also attended the local community

college. She had been employed in the local ladies retail clothing store. Eleanor's greatest joy was to be

a homemaker for her family. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, and many other ways to

fulfill her desire to improve and keep her family together. She took her children, every week, to Sunday School and church, where her faith was strong and never wavered. She was very personable, warm hearted, and sacrificially gave

to others. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 21, 2011, 10:30AM, at Lake Worth Christian

Reformed Church 1325 No. A. Street, Lake Worth, Fl., where her family will receive friend one hour prior to

services. She will be laid to rest immediately following at Royal Palm Memory gardens in West Palm Beach.

Memorial donations, in her name, may be made to the American Cancer Society.
